Meet Carrie

Carrie Duncan isn't a stranger to the public. Growing up in North Mississippi, the youngest of four girls, she described her childhood as ideal. After school and a few lessons learned early on in her career, she settled in south Mississippi, as a meteorologist, with WLOX. Stay tuned this week as she tells of her journey in the public eye and how she came to love herself and ignore those who would bring her down. She is such an inspiration to me and no doubt, will be to young girls and women everywhere!

Meet Mariah

So I first met Mariah on Instagram. I was obsessed with her clothing store, West London Boutique. In particular, this emerald green, open neck blouse, paired with a leopard pleated skirt. It was divine. So there, the outfit got me sucked in, but Mariah held me there. I was nervous as I just cold called the store one day. It was a long conversation that went something like "Hi Mariah, I'm kinda your stalker and want to know more about you and if you'd like to be part of this project I've just started...." Now, only a few short months later, it feels like we have been friends much longer.

When you meet her and read and hear her story, you're gonna want to be friends with her too. You'll find a beautiful person, mother, and shop owner, but also someone who has found strength and purpose in her failures. That, to me, is what's most beautiful about her. This week you'll hear her tell how she worked her way to her dream job, at Chanel, and then was fired. How she formulated a comeback and better version of herself, you're not going to want to miss. And who knows, maybe you'll find your own perfect outfit to dream of.
